As you would be aware, the Cairns International Public Works Conference was hailed as a tremendous success by all involved.

The organising committee for this conference is aware of the significant contribution that Passion8 and your efforts in particular, made to its sucess. The National Board of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia in a recent letter of appreciation to my committee stated that:

“This was the first time the national IPWEA conference has been held outside a capital city. Years ago this would have been considered a risk. However, Cairns is now recognised as a world class tourist destination and this, combined with an excellent technical and social program provided a winning combination”
