Welcome to the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia website created to provide information regarding the forthcoming 14th International Public Works Conference. The IPWEA is the peak professional body for people employed in Public Works and Local Government engineering. The IPWEA conference is the premier event in the Public Works calendar and is always highly anticipated. Held once every two years in a different location around Australia, the 2007 Conference will be held in Cairns, Far North Queensland from 26th to 30th August 2007.

The event will benefit from being held in the renowned Cairns Convention Centre. The venue received the accolade of being voted the World's best Congress Centre 2004,  recognised for its top class International standard facilities. Its popularity is also generated from the convenient location, situated within walking distance of all major facilities in the CBD.
