Don Henry has been Executive Director of the Australian Conservation Foundation, Australia’s leading national, not for profit environment organisation, since 1998. Previously based in
Washington DC, he served with The World Wildlife Fund as Director of the South Pacific program (1992-95), the Asia-Pacific program (1995-96) and the Global Forest program (1996-98). In
Australia, Don Henry has worked as the Director of WWF Australia 1989-92, Commissioner with the Australian Heritage Commission, President of the Australian Committee for the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the Moreton Island Protection Committee. He holds a Global 500 Environment Award from the United Nations Environment Program for his services to conservation.

attachments in Canada and the USA. He has previously worked in the private sector with
Morgan and Banks and in the public sector in a variety of State and Federal departments
including Premiers Department NSW, Industrial Relations, Training and Further Education, TAFE NSW and Education, Employment and Training.

John Howard is currently Director Asset Management with Jeff Roorda & Associates. John has a varied career in local government in three states at senior management levels. He has held the positions of IMEA TAS State President, Chair Engineers Australia National Committee on Local Government Engineering, Chair IMEA National Asset Management Committee, ALGA
representative on Austroads Asset Management Reference Group and Tasmania representative
on the National AAS27 Implementations Committee. John’s interests are in strategic asset
management and integrating asset management principles into an organisation. John is currently Project Manager for IPWEA’s National Asset Management Strategy committee, NAMS.AU.

Ronnie is a leading specialist in water demand management, hydrology, water resources
planning, management and operation with more than 20 years of experience in the fields. He has been involved in the analysis of many water resource systems, particularly in Southern
Africa where he is currently based.
Ronnie was responsible for introducing Burst and Background estimate water demand
management techniques and also developed leakage benchmarking software for the Australian Water Supply Association and the New Zealand Water and Waste Association.
He has initiated several award winning large leakage reduction projects including the
Khayelitsha Pressure Management project which is widely regarded as the largest installation of its type in the world.
