Aunty Kims Weddings
Aunty Kim’s weddings as the reception dinner venue
For the ceremony location, it was important to both of us that we get married in a Catholic Church. We loved the decor of St Mary Star of the Sea. Our first date was at an Asian Fusion restaurant in the city so we decided to stick with the same theme with Aunty Kim’s as the reception dinner venue. We will be on Table 3 as it is our three year anniversary on the wedding day. Aunty Kim’s is where the photography took place.

How we met:
Our first date was on 5th October 2022 (exactly three years prior to the wedding date!). We met on a dating app (Bumble). Mason was living in Canberra at the time so I’m not sure how the algorithm matched us but I think it might be because I had changed the search radius. Mason had texted me “are you excited about the date” prior to us meeting and I thought that was really sweet.
The Proposal:
The proposal was on 6th May 2025. We went out for dinner first and then came home and Mason popped the question. He had a heartfelt speech prior to popping the question.
