Married RACV Inverloch

We chose RACV Inverloch because we wanted to get married by the beach. They have a wet weather option and the most beautiful view of the ocean from the reception venue. I also love RACV as there is a connection with an uncle of Beth’s that passed away in 2018. He loved going to that particular venue and would’ve loved to be there for our wedding. RACV Resort Inverloch is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met: We met 9 years ago at our first rehearsal of the Gippsland Symphony Orchestra. We became great friends, and would play duets and Christmas Carols together in the parks in Mirboo North. We recognised in each other that we were both empathetic, caring and loving people. There was always a strong connection between us that steadily grew over time.

The Proposal: The proposal took place on Christmas Day at Brandy Creek Winery. Beth was singing on the day and her mother Joyce and Greg came along for lunch. Greg had planned the proposal, going down and picking up the engagement ring without Beth’s knowledge (thought he was playing Christmas carols that day). He was waiting for Beth to sing “Santa Baby” as there was a line “forgot to mention one little thing, a ring”. Beth ended up singing this first, ruining his plans. She also pointed to her ring finger and stared at Greg during that line. When she went back to the table she said to Greg “did you like my subtle hint?” Greg said, “Yeah I did actually…will you marry me?” and put the ring box on the table. Beth went quiet for a minute, processing what had just happened. Not only did Greg out sass her, he proposed. The answer was of course YES! It was the most special Christmas ever! We didnt tell his family that afternoon, we just waited until the ring was spotted. Greg’s dad noticed first and asked Beth “what’s that?” Beth said “oh…this old thing…???” Everyone was very excited.RACV Inverloch Wedding
