Phillip Island Wedding
The ceremony is in the church on Phillip Island where Barclay’s parents were married. His father’s funeral was in this church in January and the land for the church was donated to Phillip Island by Barclay’s great grandparents. Primarily we wanted to involve Barclay’s dad (John) /honour his presence despite having died this year. John’s favourite place in the world was Phillip Island and the family farm so we are having the reception on the family farm, this is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met: We met at my sister’s wedding. Barclay went to school with my brother in law. – I thought he was very handsome and had a beautiful warm presence.
It was a chance meeting considering our life circumstances at that time. We did a long-distance relationship (Sydney – Melbourne) for 10 months before I moved to Melbourne (2 years ago).
The Proposal: Barclay preposed in my hometown of Sydney (when borders re-opened during pandemic), with a ring tied around my pug’s neck. He had then organised a surprise family lunch for me.
