Cara explained how they met “We met at uni, at law school in our first year. Khoa asked me if he could sit next to me and then we took the train home together. Khoa thought I was “cute and a bit nerdy.” I thought Khoa was funny and interesting, and not like anyone I had ever met before. After over 10 years of dating Khoa finally proposed to me at our home in Singapore. He went to a lot of effort to cook a nice meal, set the table, got out some champagne (and made sure I had plenty of it), and at the end he presented me with a cupcake in a box for dessert – when I opened up the box the ring was sitting inside. By that point I had suspected something was up but I still felt quite overwhelmed when he actually asked the question. Khoa says he was a little bit nervous, but mostly excited.”
